We all have those days where nothing seems to be going right. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed, your coffee spilled on your favorite shirt, and you’re running late for work. Again. It feels like the whole world is against you and that today is just not your day. But don’t worry, we’ve all been there. The good news is that there are some easy ways to turn that frown upside down and instantly boost your mood. Read on for 5 surefire ways to put a smile on your face!

1. Get moving! Exercise releases endorphins, which have mood-boosting and pain-relieving properties. A quick walk around the block or a light workout at home can do wonders for your mood and energy levels.

2. Connect with loved ones. Whether it’s Facetiming your grandkids or catching up with an old friend, spending time with people you care about is a great way to boost your spirits. Don’t have anyone to call? No problem! Volunteering at a local shelter or nursing home is a great way to meet new people and make a difference in your community.

3. Laugh it off. Laughter really is the best medicine! Watch a funny movie, read a hilarious book, or scroll through some cute animal videos online. You’ll be surprised at how much better you feel after having a good chuckle.
